11.February 2019Pietro Perini was born about 1661, probably in Someo, Ticino, Switzerland, to Giovanni Battista Perini1. He was likely the father of three children:

Pietro served as a witness to the marriage of Giovanni Caligari (Jr.) and Margherita Filipponi.[Mar 1700]

Pietro Perini died at his home in Someo on November 1, 1726, and was buried the following in the parish cemetery. He was recorded to be "about 65 years" old.[Dth 1726]

Caterina PERINI (~1667-1742)

12.February 2019Caterina Perini was born about 1667, probably in Someo, Ticino, Switzerland, to Giovanni Battista Perini1. She married Giovanni Domenico Tognini.

Caterina (Perini) Tognini died at her home in Someo on April 17, 1742, at the age of 75. She was buried the same evening in the parish cemetery.[Dth 1742]

Giacomo PERINI2 (~1669-1744)

13.Giacomo Perini2 was born about 1668 or 1669, probably in Someo, Ticino, Switzerland, to Giovanni Battista Perini1. He first married his second cousin Maria Margherita Andreina, daughter of the late Antonio, on February 26, 1699, in Someo.[Mar 1699] She likely died before 1711 and Giacomo remarried to Anna Maria Adami3, of Giumaglio, the widow of Giovanni Antonio Giovanotti, on March 16, 1711, in Someo.[Mar 1711] May 2018He and Anna Maria likely had only one daughter who survived to adulthood during their marriage of nearly 16 years. After Anna Maria's death, Giacomo remarried to the widows Mrs. Maria Margherita (Righetti) Tognazzini in 1728, with whom he had at least three children; and later he married Maria Caterina Morganti in 1740.

Giacomo was named as a witness to the marriage of Giacomo Tognini and Giovanna Maria Perinoni.[Mar 1698]

Before their marriage, Giacomo and Margherita obtained dispensation for the impediments of the third and fourth degrees of consanguinity in two different lines (i.e., second cousins, once removed, however, the exact connections of their relationships are not known). Witnesses to their marriage were Giovanni Giacomo Righetti and Giovanni Antonio Antognini.[Mar 1699]

Maria Margherita (Andreina) Perini likely died before 1711, but parish death records are not available before 1717.

Giacomo and Anna Maria Adami (most records in Someo refer to her as "Maria") wed in Someo on March 16, 1711. May 2018Witnesses to their marriage were Martino Perini, son of the late Eustachio, and Giovanni Battista Perini, son of Pietro (relationships to Giacomo uncertain, perhaps his cousin).[Mar 1711]

Maria (Adami) Tognazzini2 died on March 15, 1727, the day before their 16th wedding anniverary, at the family home in Someo. She was buried the following day at the cemetery in Someo. Maria was recorded to be "about 49 years" old[Dth 1727], however, she was 57 years old.

A year after Maria's death, Giacomo remarried to the Maria Margherita Righetti, the daughter of the late Antonio Righetti of Riveo and the widow of Giovanni Giacomo Tognazzini (Sr.), on March 18, 1728. He was about 60 years old and she about 31. Before their marriage they obtained dispensation for the impediments of third equal degrees of affinity (i.e., related by marriage rather than by blood) and the third and fourth degrees of consanguinity (i.e., second cousins, once removed, however, the exact connections of their relationships are not yet known). Witnesses to their marriage were Giovanni Antonio Jorio and Giovanni Giacomo Giacometti.[Mar 1728]

November 2018Giacomo and Maria chose Giovanni Antonio Dalidio and the widow Mrs. Maria Tognazzini as godparents for son Giacomo (Jr.).[Bap 1735]

Giacomo and Margherita's son Giacomo Pietro died on December 3, 1736, at the age of 7 years and 8 months. He was buried the following day in the parish cemetery.[Dth 1736]

Maria Margherita (Righetti Tognazzini) Perini died on September 19, 1739, at the family home in Someo, following an illness of nearly two weeks. She was buried the following day at the cemetery in Someo. Margherita was "about 43 years" old.[Dth 1739]

Six months after Margherita's death, Giacomo remarried to Maria Caterina Morganti, the daughter of Matteo Morganti, on March 16, 1740. He was about 70 years old and she about 21 years old. Witnesses to their marriage were Giovanni Giacomo Coppi and Giacomo Caporgnini.[Mar 1740]

Giacomo Perini died on August 24, 1744, at his home in Someo, following a rapid decline during which all the sacraments were performed the day before. He was was buried in the evening at the cemetery in Someo. He was "about 75 years" old.[Dth 1744]

After Giacomo

Caterina remarried nearly three years later to Pietro Caporgnini (Jr.) on June 30, 1747.[Mar 1747] Pietro may have been a brother to Giacomo Caporgnini, who served as a witnesses to Caterina's marriage to Giacomo. December 2018 Pietro had previously been married as many as four times: Maria Pietrina Pedretti (~1698-1733) gave him at least five children before she died giving birth two twin girls who died a few days later; Giacomina Righetti (~1711-1736) gave him two daughters but she and the two daughters all died in 1736; Giovanna Maria Caporgno (~1706-1744), the widow of Antonio Biscanti; and Giovanna Maria Pedretti (~1723-1747) gave him two children who both died young. Caterina and Pietro had two daughters together but both died in childhood.[Bap 1748, Bap 1750, Dth 1750]

Maria Caterina (Morganti Perini) Caporgnini died on February 8, 1751, at the family home in Someo. She was buried the following day at the cemetery in Someo. She was "about 32 years" old.[Dth 1744]

December 2018Pietro married three more times after Caterina's death: Maria Elena Coppi (~1716-1754), the widow of Giacomo Pietro Coppi; Giacoma Mazzoni (~1725-1755), daughter of Bartolomeo of Moghegno; and Maria Domenica Mazzoni, Giacoma's sister.

Maria PERINI (~1689-1725)

14.Maria Perini was born about 1689, probably in Someo, Ticino, Switzerland. She married her second cousin Somadino Righetti, son of the late Giovanni Giacomo Righetti, on February 18, 1705, in Someo.[Mar 1705]

May 2018Before their marriage, Maria and Somadino obtained dispensation for the impediments of the third and fourth degrees of consanguinity in one line and fourth equal degrees in another line (i.e., second cousins, once removed, and third cousins, however, the exact connections of their relationships are not known). Witness to their marriage were two men named Giovanni Battista Coppi, one was the son of the late Pietro Coppi and the other was the son of the late Giovanni Antonio Coppi.[Mar 1705]

Maria (Perini) Righetti died on January 14, 1725, and buried 24 hours later in the parish cemetery of Someo. She was "about 35 years" old.[Dth 1725]
