118274282. Blanche Aline ArendtΔ was born on , in San Francisco, California. She married Charles Edward Bendel, a native of Ohio, on New Year's Eve, , in Los Angeles, Los Angeles County. They had three children:

Blanche's parents divorced when she was young and grew up as a “boarder” and “lodger” with the Joseph & Marion Frediani family at 562 2nd Street in Calistoga, Napa County.[Cen 1920, 1930B] At that time, her mother moved to Napa and her father moved south to Santa Monica, Los Angeles County. By 1930, Marion Frediani also took in Jimmie and Charles Campbell, ages 7 and 5[Cens 1930B], of whom Charles went on to marry Blanche's cousin, Rubye Fechter. Blanche was also enumerated a second time in 1930, living with her mother and stepfather along the highway through Yountville.[Cen 1930A]

Blanche's mother remarried in 1924 and then died six years later, a week before Blanche's 14th birthday, in 1931.

Blanche moved south the Los Angeles by the age of 18. She and Charles obtained their marriage license on December 20, 1935, and then were married by Otto W. Wismar (1888-1965), a Lutheran ordained minister, in Los Angeles, on New Year's Eve, December 31, 1935. She was 18 years old and he was 25.[Mar 1935]

Blanche and Charles rented a house at 1312 West 62nd Street in Los Angeles, where Charles worked as an upholsterer for a furniture manufacturer.[Cen 1940] Within two years they moved about 4 miles southeast to 346 East 94th Street, along with Blanche's father, who worked as a painter.[City 1942, Draft 1942]

By 1950, the Bendels had moved again, this time 5 miles northwest to 6214 5th Avenue, where Charles continued working as an upholsterer and Blanche worked as a seamstress for an upholstering company. Blanche's father continued to live with their family[Cen 1950] and passed away in 1959 while the Bendels lived at 9026 Woodley Avenue in Sepulveda.

Blanche (Arendt) Bendel died on , in San Diego, San Diego County, at the age of 68.

Charles Edward Bendel died 10 years later on , in Yuba City, Sutter County. He was 86 years old.
