John Carl BEAMAN (~1844-1930)

1B2FA. John "Carl" Beaman was born on April 24, in either 1844 or 1848, in Indiana. He married Martha "Mattie" Morgan on October 26, 1872, in Clarke County, Iowa. They had at least seven children:

Martha "Mattie" (Morgan) Beaman died in 1884 at about the age of 30. She is buried in Hopeville Cemetery, Hopeville, Clarke County, Indiana.

John Carl Beaman died on September 8, 1930, while in his early 80s. He is buried alongside Mattie in Hopeville Cemetery.

Noah Randall BEAMAN5 (~1846-1924)

1B2FB. Noah Randall Beaman5 was variously reported to be born between 1845 and 1849 in Indiana, perhaps in Morgan Township, Owen County. As a young boy, his family moved west into Iowa and by 1860 settled in Doyle Township, Clarke County. He married Mary Ellen McCutchan about 1883 and had three children:

Mary Ellen's cousin, Randolph McCutchan married Noah's younger sister, Maggie, two years after Noah and Mary Ellen wed.

The Beamans moved from Noah's boyhood home in Doyle Township north into neighboring Troy Township.

Noah Randall Beaman died in 1924 in his late 70s. He is buried at Murray Cemetery in Troy Township, Clarke County, Iowa.

Mary Ellen (McCutchan) Beaman died 13 years later on November 28, 1937. She was 77 years old. She is also buried in Murray Cemetery.

1B2FC. Mary Jane Beaman was born on September 9, 1850, in Indiana. She married Lucius Minor Oziah and later married Charles Bachelor.

Randolph and Maggie wed two years after Randolph's cousin, Mary Ellen McCutchan, married Maggie's elder brother Noah Beaman.

William C(asbell) BEAMAN (1847-1911)

1B2X1. William C(asbell) Beaman was born about 1847, probably in Owen County, Indiana. He was first recorded in 1850 in the household of Samuel Beaman and Samuel's younger sisters in Morgan Township. He may have been adopted by the Beaman family or perhaps the child of one of Samuel's elder siblings.

Over the years and moves westward that followed, William was enumerated with Catharine (Beaman) Clinkenbeard in 1856, after the family moved to Long Creek Township, Decature County, Iowa, around 1852[Cen 1856]; and later with Samuel's and Catharine's mother, Mary (Langdon Beaman) Randall, and Mary's husband Noah Randall in Otter Township, Warren County, Iowa.[Cen 1860]

William is said to have served in the Iowa 3rd Regiment Cavalry during the Civil War.
